Pale, yet bright straw gold.
Within the framework of bosc pear, fresh lychees & grapefruit, an alluring floral lift merges with more savoury characters derived from neutral French oak inputs & lees contact.
With an immediate textural impact, a confluence of spiced pear, grapefruit flesh and lemon citrus provides an ample frame that pulls out to a long, lingering finish by the balanced, yet driving acidity.
Early days, and we feel this is easily one of our best. In the same vein as the 2012 Pinot Gris, if not a little more refined & pure. Whilst drinking well now in its youthful guise, the power and balance of both fruit and acid will provide an outstanding frame for positive bottle development. At this point we’d suggest 4-5 years lay ahead, possibly more.
