2012 Williams Crossing Chardonnay

APPEARANCE
Bright golden straw.

BOUQUET
With opening scents of sea breeze & peach blossoms, you are immediately drawn into the deeper aspects of the wine. White peach, nectarine & citrus fruits all vie for your attention, while savoury aspects of lees and balanced oak support appear.

PALATE
Firstly a generous fruit wave hits the front palate, before the supporting textural elements appear Creamy oak frames the fruit texturally while the current of cool climate acidity balances the wines viscosity, giving excellent line, length & breadth.

CELLARING SUGGESTIONS
Like the 2012 Williams Crossing Pinot Noir, this among the best Chardonnays we've put under our second label and the best value yet too. The impressive fruit power of this wine is matched by its driving acidity. You could enjoy this tonight or in 5+ years time; your call!

It's a privilege, born of site climate and attention to detail in the vineyard, to have a second label of this quality and complexity; the high natural acidity allows the grapes to ripen to a higher baume than normal without becoming blowsy, just full of flavour. Drink to 2017
