Our truly cool climate ensures an sublime, yet complex expression of Chardonnay that speaks with purity of time and place.
Bouquet
Generous and complex, with layers of primary fruit and secondary characters. Ripe stone fruit; white peach, nectarine, honeydew and grapefruit. Smokey oak, cashew, orange blossom, oatmeal and fresh honeycomb.
Palate
Medium plus in weight, dry, yet with mouth-filling fruit sweetness. Complexity of bouquet flows through to palate. Textured with harmonious balance of fruit and oak, knitted together by firm yet juicy acidity that drives a lingering palate.
Cellaring
Drinking well now, cellar up to 2023-2025.
How is this drinking now?
A complex expression of mature chardonnay. The warm (but not hot) year brought the flavour and time has brought complexity and interest. Preserved lemon/grapefruit and almond meal, high drinkability! Drink 2020-2022.
