Each 2019 Estate, Central & Western presentation pack contains two bottles each of our 2019 Estate Pinot Noir, 2019 Central, and 2019 Western Pinot Noirs presented in a beautiful wooden case.

Please note the Central and Western Pinot Noirs are still available as part of the 2019 Estate, Central, Western dozen pack and are not individually available, making this pack extra special.

About our three Pinot Noirs…

Back in 2018 we were inspired to begin bottling separate snapshots to illustrate the compelling differences found within our vineyard. While these parcels are still part of our estate blend, as small standalone bottlings they help dig deeper into some of the components that compose Curly Flat Pinot Noir.

We now refer to our main label Pinot Noir as our Estate Pinot Noir.  The two separate bottlings are called Central & Western; the names representing their vinous location within our estate.

The Central bottling represents the core structure of Curly Flat, while still aromatic is comprised of darker fruits & brooding savoury notes along with a more robust tannin structure. Also, the Central is comprised solely of our oldest vines planted in 1992.

The Western bottling describes the more fragrant and supple expressions from the coldest sites in our vineyard which ripen late to form powerful, yet distinctly elegant Pinot Noir.

The Estate is the sum of all parts and more.  Not only are the Central and Western blocks represented in our Estate Pinot Noir, but there are also an additional three distinct blocks that altogether form our flagship Pinot Noir.  People have and will continue to find their favourite amongst these three Pinot Noirs, that said, to us the Estate offers the utmost in complexity and overall site expression.  Together the Estate, Central & Western Pinot Noirs represent not only a continuing journey but an invitation to join us to venture further into the understanding of this remarkable site for Pinot Noir.
